Nadia Alam is Lead Researcher and Founder of Enquiry Evaluation. Alam began her career in education as an English Language Teacher in a public middle school in Ibaraki, Japan where she participated in the Japan Exchange & Teaching (JET) Program. The experience sparked a curiosity about education in diverse cultural contexts. After returning to the U.S., Alam earned her master's degree in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education, concentrating in international education policy. She then spent eight years at the New England Association of Schools & Colleges (NEASC), first as a Research Associate and then as Associate Director of Research and Special Projects. Alam has volunteered for various education causes and nonprofits whose objectives are to increase access and broaden opportunity for diverse students. Alam volunteers for the Posse Foundation and has previously served on the Advisory Board of Axis of Hope, a nonprofit that teaches youth nonviolent conflict resolution skills. Most recently, Alam has been Director of Institutional Research at St. Mark's School in Southborough, Massachusetts. Her work with the Community and Equity Affairs Committee spawned a greater interest in program evaluation in schools on matters of diversity and inclusion.
